Toulouse, April 19, 2010. TechWord, a company that specializes in software localization and technical translations, has had its SAP certification renewed for two years for the language combinations English/French and German/French.
SAP has an auditing and certification program that enables it to analyze its translation partners' financial and operational structure, as well as their processes and performance. It also enables SAP to identify vendors that can offer it and its partners the resources that fit their translation requirements best.
Following the initial audit in 2005, TechWord became the first translation partner in France to be certified by SAP. This certification was renewed in 2007 after a second audit. This is TechWord's third certification since the beginning of the program.
The certification consists of different steps, one of which is an audit carried out at the partner's facilities, and a continuous performance control system. The audit was carried out in September 2009 by Barbara Jax, Monika Lutzenkirchen and Irma van den Berg of SLS (SAP Language Services).
TechWord, its organization, and its recruiting, training, project management, and QA processes were carefully reviewed and documented. The audit also revealed how well the company is organized, the quality of its internal processes and points for improvement.
